Amministrazione Provinciale di Catanzaro

 

The Provincial Administration of Catanzaro P1 APCZ is one of the five provinces of the Calabria Region. It's a local authority with its statutory, administrative and regulatory matters, as well as financial and fiscal autonomy within its Statute and Regulations. The territory of the Province is formed by 80 Municipalities, among which Catanzaro is also the regional capital. 

As regards to youth policy, the Administration fosters initiatives, education and specific project activities in favour of the young people, through the activity of appointed structures and facilities within the territory.

APCZ is an accredited body of first class for the National Civil Service and involves many youth workers in the implementation of projects of which it is beneficiary. APCZ is engaged in minimizing the negative impact associated to youth unemployment, through specific activities of counselling and guidance, also promoted and implemented by the Centres for Employment and Labour Sector, Vocational Training and Social Policy managed by APCZ.

Among the many initiatives promoted, of most importance there are there information centres Igiò - active in two locations in the city of Catanzaro, and in other locations in the provincial area. The criteria on which the centres Igiò are based on the principles of equality, impartiality, objectivity, subsidiarity, participation, effectiveness, efficiency and continuity.

APCZ also established the Provincial Youth Council, to the purpose of establishing an open dialogue and lasting relationship with young people, fostering their active participation in the decision-making.

APCZ collaborate with several universities trought specific agreements: Università della Calabria; Scuola Superiore di Scienze delle Amministrazioni Pubbliche (conv. N.133/2010); Università degli Studi Magna Graecia di Catanzaro (Conv.19/09/2008); Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria - Facoltà di Architettura (Conv 4224 27/10/2011); Università degli Studi di Messina; Università degli Studi di Perugia - Facoltà di Agraria (Conv. N. 32/2010); Università degli Studi di Napoli - Laurea in Medicina Veterinaria (Con. 4/2/2010); Università La Sapienza di Roma - tutte le facoltà - (Conv. 27/11/2011).
